8th Grade Titans Defeat Orangemen, Finish Season 5-1

The Norris 8th Grade Titans defeated the Beatrice Middle School Orangemen 28-8 in their season finale on Tuesday, October 15th. The Titans finished their 2019 campaign at 5-1.

The weather was a factor, as both teams battled a strong gust for most of the game. The Titans forced a Turnover on Downs and scored on their first play from scrimmage on a Blake Macklin run, and a two-point conversion. Macklin had a huge game on the ground, thanks to massive holes opened up by his offensive line. Macklin had a part in all of the Titan scores, including a punt return for a TD. Logan Michel led the Titans to the win in his first start as QB. The Titan defense was stingy all day and forced multiple turnovers. Brodie Hoover had two interceptions and Everett Clang, Xander Shield, Porter Dutter, and Jack McNally all contributed to the "No Fly Zone" secondary that the Titan defense had. Eli Holt, Logan Michel, and Macklin all gave great minutes at Linebacker and came up with plays to kill Beatrice drives. The defensive line was led by John Hood, Treyson Clauss, Motega Clancy, Kaden Kier, and Coleson Pomajzl - to name a few.

Great group of young men - the future of Norris Football is extremely bright!
