Board of Education vacancy application

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Board of Education of Norris School District #160 as a result of the death of Patty Bentzinger. In accordance with state law, the Board will begin the process of appointing an individual to complete the remainder of Mrs. Bentzinger’s term on the board. The length of the unexpired term is for the same length of time as Ms. Bentzinger would have served on the Board of Education. Interested Applicants must live in Ward 2 to be appointed for the open seat.

Girls hang on to win over Christian

Norris hosted Lincoln Christian on Saturday for Senior Day honoring Norris’s five Seniors Shalena Brown, Cassie Dauber, Maddie Gabel, Maddie Gloe and Kylie Hohlen playing their last home game as a Titan.  In the first quarter both teams scored 12 points and this was going to be the way the game was played from start to finish.  In the second quarter Christian made a layup at the buzzer to lead at halftime 26-25 but Norris was determined to come out in the third quarter and retake the lead.  Norris outscored Christian 11-10 and were tied 36-36 going into the final quarter.  In the fourth quarter both teams really came alive offensively and making free throws.  Norris was able to outscore Lincoln Christian 20-17 for a 56-53 win.
