Titans Baseball beats EMC rival Elkhorn 9-0

The Titans refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Elkhorn, recording a 9-0 victory on Monday at Elkhorn's beautiful Legion Field.

With seven runs in the first three innings, the Titans left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A sacrifice fly by Byron Hood, a wild pitch, a wild pitch that scored Terrell Rose during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Titans.
Bryce Peterson had a hot bat for the Titans. Bryce Peterson went 2-4 and scored three runs. He singled in the third and seventh innings.

The Titans' Payton Kinney kept Elkhorn off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on six hits while striking out six and walking none

The Titans scored one run in the fifth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the seventh. In the fifth, the Titans scored on an RBI single by Preston Price, plating Bryce Peterson.
