On Saturday afternoon Norris hosted Crete and was defeated 57 – 45. Crete set the tone for the game from the opening tip outscoring Norris 9 – 0 to start the game and Norris played catch up the rest of the night. Crete outscored Norris 20 – 13 in the first quarter and then Norris was able to collect themselves and play Crete even in the second quarter. Crete held a 31 – 23 advantage at the break and Norris came out in the third quarter trying to get back into the game. Norris outscored Crete 12 – 10 but could only get closer then six points. In the final quarter Norris cut the lead to two points on a couple possessions but Crete made 14 of 16 free throws to pull away. Norris is now 7 – 4 on the season and travels to Fairbury on Tuesday and Bennington on Friday.
