The Titans offense too much for Crete in 12-1 rout

The Titans refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Crete , recording a 12-1 victory on Tuesday at Hickman.

The game was decided quickly as the Titans exerted their will early with 11 runs in the first three innings. Norris scored 1 in first 3 in the second 4 in the third and one in the 4th.  Crete scored their only run in the 5th.

A solo home run by Trey Hair, a wild pitch, and an error during the first inning and a groundout by John Estudillo, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Jake Peterson, and a hit by pitch in the second inning helped the Titans put some runs on the board early.

Hair went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Titans with two singles and an homerun.  Jake Peterson, Andrew Helmick Payton Kinney, and Bryce Peterson each had a single and Jakson Reetz had a grand Slam.

Preston Price looked sharp on the mound. Crete managed just two hits off of Price, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his four innings of work.  Also pitching in the shortened game for the Titans were Brady Johnson and Josh Gutzmer.

Next action Thursday at Yutan.
