Board of Education vacancy application

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Board of Education of Norris School District #160 as a result of the death of Patty Bentzinger. In accordance with state law, the Board will begin the process of appointing an individual to complete the remainder of Mrs. Bentzinger’s term on the board. The length of the unexpired term is for the same length of time as Ms. Bentzinger would have served on the Board of Education. Interested Applicants must live in Ward 2 to be appointed for the open seat.

Late Score Costs The Titans Against Hastings

The Norris Titans stayed in it until the end, but the Hastings Tigers pulled away late in a 5-4 victory on Wednesday. The game was tied at three with Hastings batting in the bottom of the , sixth when Connor Creech singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Norris Titans Varsity fired up the offense early scoring a 1 in the first and second innings. Kentucky recruit, Sam Wibbels led the Hastings to victory on the hill. He allowed one hit and three runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out 14. Creech threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen. Tyler Monroe took the loss for. He allowed four hits and two runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven. Grant Gouldin, Colson Hestermann, and Cade Argo each collected one hit to lead the team. Hastings racked up seven hits on the day. Mike Boeve, Jacob Schroeder, and Creech each racked up multiple hits for Hastings. Hastings didn't commit a single error in the field. JT Cafferty had the most chances in the field with 15. With the loss that ended Norris's state tournament. The Titans finished the year 19-11.
