Titans Can't Catch Up To Bennington in State Action

Norris watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 11-1 loss to Bennington on Monday evening at Werner Park. Bennington scored on a single by Cooper Prososki, a single by Kyler Essink, and a double by Cody Flynn in the first inning. Norris struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Bennington, giving up 11 runs. Bennington got things moving in the first inning. Prososki drove in one when he singled. Bennington scored four runs in the fifth inning. Rylan Wallingford and Prososki all drove in runs in the frame. Wyatt Knutson-smith earned the win for Bennington. He lasted five innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out two and walking one.
Noah Van Brocklin took the loss for the team. He went two innings, allowing five runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking one. Connor Price led Norris Titans Varsity with two hits in two at bats. Bennington racked up 13 hits on the day. Nick Bohn, Wallingford, and Prososki each managed multiple hits for Bennington. Bohn went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Bennington in hits. Bennington didn't commit a single error in the field. Wallingford had the most chances in the field with seven.
