Osborn goes yard to Defeat Class A 7th rated Gretna

The last home game of the year for Norris baseball was a great one. The #1 rated Titans took on class A #7 rated Gretna Dragons and the fans wouldn't be disappointed with this one.
The team stole the lead in the sixth and defeated Gretna 5-2 on Monday. The game was tied at two with Norris batting in the bottom of the sixth when Joe Osborn homered on a 2-2 count, hit a bomb scoring three runs. Osborn led Norris Titans Varsity to victory by driving in five runs. He went 2-for-3 at the plate. Osborn drove in runs on a single in the fourth and a home run in the sixth. Norris knotted the game up at two in the bottom of the fourth inning, when Osborn singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Noah Van Brocklin pitched the team to victory. He surrendered two runs on six hits over five and a third innings, striking out six. Grant Papenhagen threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Zach Devine took the loss for Gretna. He surrendered four runs on six hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out one.
Osborn had the only dinger on the day for the team. The Titans had seven hits on the day. Osborn and Grant Gouldin each racked up multiple hits for Norris Titans Varsity. Gouldin and Osborn each collected two hits to lead Norris Titans Varsity. Quinn Mason went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Gretna in hits.
