Titans Win Lincoln High Tournament
4-Hit Day For Price Leads Norris to Lincoln High Championship
Connor Price did the opposing team no favors on Saturday, picking up four hits over four at-bats and leading Norris to a 15-4 win over Columbus. Price singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth. The Discovers scored three runs in the third inning, but the Titans still managed to pull out the victory. Columbus big bats were led by Brent Beard and Landon Thompson, who all drove in runs. The team fired up the offense in the first inning. Joe Osborn hit a solo homer,
then scored seven runs in the fourth inning. Joel Benes, Cade Baker, Colson Hestermann, Gage Hansmeyer, Colbey Behrends, and Tyler Monroe each drove in runs during the inning. Bryson Schultz earned the victory on the mound for ball team. He surrendered four runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.
Tadan Bell took the loss for Columbus. He went five innings, allowing 15 runs on 15 hits and striking out three.
Two home runs were hit on the day for the Titans. Cade Argo had a dinger in the third inning. Osborn put one out in the first inning.
Norris y racked up 15 hits on the day. Price, Osborn, Baker, Hestermann, and Argo each managed multiple hits for Norris Titans Varsity. Price went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits. Columbus racked up seven hits. Evan Bock and Tyler Palmer all had multiple hits for Columbus.
