Strength and Conditioning

Strength & Conditioning is a semester long course designed to teach proper weight lifting techniques, improve muscular strength, and increase muscular endurance through a weight resistance & conditioning program.  Students will incorporate flexibility exercises designed to improve all ranges of joint motion to help reduce the occurrence of injury.  Improving agility will also be a major focus of this course.  Content will also include how anatomy, physiology, and nutrition relates to weight training and living a healthy lifestyle.  The overall goal of this course it to develop the proper attitude that contributes toward an appreciation for strength and conditioning.
