Norris Middle School

Scannable RFID bus name badges will be distributed to students on Friday, November 12, 

Anytime you ride a Norris bus, you are required to have your bus badge. Please have this badge ready as you load the bus. The drivers will not wait for you to find the card. Pictures of the student ID's will not work. (These badges are RFID tags.)  In the upcoming days, bus discipline will be implemented for students failing to have their ID's ready for loading and unloading on the busses.

Kudos/Shout-Out/Congratulations to our Middle School Students that ROCKED it on stage in Titans Got Talent Last night! Emceed by our very own Scott, Handy With The Microphone, Hakel,  we had 5 of our very own Middle School students that qualified and performed  in the Main Event of Titans Got Talent!

Our very own Ben Bishop rocked the Stage with his version of "Riptide" winning over the hearts of our voters and bringing home some Cold, hard cash! After winning the cash, 

Congrats to all that performed, they did GREAT!! 


Congratulations to 7th-Grade Boys' Basketball Players and Coaches on their Victories over Bennington last night. The Titans dominated the Badgers on their own court with a 46-36 Victory for the B Team and a 54-23 Victory for the A Team. 

Drama club sign up is in the library. The Drama Club will meet from 3:40 to 4:30 on Tuesdays.  See Miss Zvolanek for more information

Opening day of Deer season was this weekend. You can send your pictures to Mr. Cullison to share out on the morning announcements and video board in the commons if you would like.  

Chess Finals will be on Thursday. NO HAL TUESDAY-THURSDAY.


The weather has turned colder, please start dressing appropriately for going outside for recess, etc.


Reminder: “Nuisance items” are not allowed at school. A nuisance item is something that is not required for educational purposes and which would cause a distraction to the student or others.

Student Council will meet during WIN on Friday in Mrs. Keller’s room (Room 304).

Quiz Bowl - Quiz Bowl will happen next Wednesday (11/ in Mr K’s room on Wednesday (We take anyone who wants to try out, HAL student or not).

Middle School College Savings Scholarship

Students who complete the EducationQuest Middle School College Savings Scholarship activity will be eligible to register for one of five $200 scholarships.

EducationQuest will randomly select one student winner on October 31, December 31, and February 28; two students will be selected on April 30.

To be eligible, a student must:

  • be a U.S. citizen or legal resident

  • be a middle school student attending a Nebraska school

  • complete and mail the scholarship entry form to EducationQuest between September 1 and April 30

EducationQuest will deposit the $200 scholarships into the winners’ NEST 529 College Savings Plan account. Winners who do not have an account will need to set one up.
