NORRIS MIDDLE SCHOOL BULLETIN

6th Grade Band Students:  Please note these changes to the band schedule for this week only.  On Thursday, flutes & saxophones do NOT have band.  Clarinets & horns will have band.  On Friday, there will be NO band for trumpets, horns, trombones & baritones.  Percussion will have band on Friday and need to bring their bells.

8th Grade:  Submit your application for Student Assisting to Mrs.  Rupert.  Applications are available from your LITT teacher or the office.  Student Assistant assignments will be made available to 7th graders within the next two weeks if enough 8th graders do not apply.  If you want an assignment, submit your application now … Teachers are waiting for your help!

8th Graders … the Lunch Time Book Club will be starting soon!  Our meetings will be on Tuesdays.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Andre in the Library.  We will choose our first book at our inaugural meeting.

Attention 8th Graders:  If you are interested in Student Assisting during 1 or 2 LITT periods each week, see your LITT teacher for an application.  Submit your completed application to Mrs. Rupert.  Assignments will start the first week in September.

Middle School Girls who participated in the 5000 shot club during the summer please turn in your sheets to Coach Halvorsen by Friday, in room 203.

THE LIBRARY NEEDS PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS!  DO YOU HAVE A SACK OF BAGS AT HOME?  THE LIBRARY NEEDS SACKS TO REFILL OUR BEAN BAGS. PLEASE BRING THEM INTO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL LIBRARY!

The Library is hosting a BACK TO SCHOOL bookmark contest!  Entry forms are available in the Library and on the Library webpage.  One winner and several honorable mentions will be chosen from each grade.  First place in each grade will receive a Barnes and Noble Gift Card.

Come participate and/or cheer on families in the 4th Annual Titan Family Adventure Race, Sept. 2nd (Monday) from 8:30-10:00 a.m.  Right here at NORRIS Campus!  Racers will be running all over campus and doing fun challenges on the soccer field, the football field, the intermediate playground, the elementary gym, and the middle school gym, finishing up right at the picnic shelter at our sports complex!  FUN FOR ALL!!!

SUPREME COURT BASKETBALL open to K - 8 Grade Boys and Girls.  Pick up a Registration Sheet in the MS Office Brochure Holder is interested.  Dates:  Sept. 16 - Oct. 8th
