Board of Education vacancy application

Notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Board of Education of Norris School District #160 as a result of the death of Patty Bentzinger. In accordance with state law, the Board will begin the process of appointing an individual to complete the remainder of Mrs. Bentzinger’s term on the board. The length of the unexpired term is for the same length of time as Ms. Bentzinger would have served on the Board of Education. Interested Applicants must live in Ward 2 to be appointed for the open seat.

7th Grade Girls going out for Basketball there is a sign up sheet on the girls locker room door.  We will have a short meeting on December 11th during

jump start in the weight room.


GOOD LUCK to Coach Gustin, Coach Malone and to Coach Bade and Coach Halvorsen and the 8th grade and 7th grade A and B boys basketball teams as they take on Nebraska City today.

7th grade will be traveling so please dismiss the team at 2:15 p.m. to catch the bus.


2013 Norris Girls Basketball T-Shirt Order Forms are available in the MS Office brochure holder.  Orders are due back with payment by Dec. 9th.  Check It Out!!


Book Mark Contest!  Come to the Library to get an entry form for the Winter wonderland

Book Mark Contest.  Entries are due December 13th.


Supreme Court Basketball K - 8 Boys & Girls:  Dec. 9th - Feb. 24th.  Pick up a registration in the MS Office Brochure Holder.  


Norris High School Cheerleaders Cheer Clinic will be January, 24th.  Pick up your registration form in the MS Office brochure holder.  Due date:  Friday, December 13th, 2013.  


If you haven’t noticed the weather has changed … Burrrr!!!  So, let’s dress accordingly inside and out.  With that let’s refresh on Dress Code:  All coats, jackets and hats are to be placed in the locker and not worn in school or placed in lost ‘n found, Pajamas/leisure pants are not acceptable as school attire.  Nor are blankets to be worn throughout the day for they are a safety issue.  Pants or shorts that are ragged with holes or torn are not permitted.  Pants should not sag and the waist must remain above the hipbone.
