NORRIS MIDDLE SCHOOL BULLETIN - Nov. 7th, 2013

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE THAT MADE THE HONOR ROLL THIS
1ST QUARTER OF THE 2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR.  THESE ARE GREAT

NUMBERS OF STUDENTS … OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE ALL 494 OF YOU
ON THIS LIST!  LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN ONE ASSIGNMENT AT A TIME.

THE LIST OF STUDENTS THAT MADE IT THIS QUARTER IS POSTED ON
THE BULLETIN BOARD IN THE COMMONS AND WILL BE PRINTED IN THE
VOICE NEWS.  WAY TO GO!!!!!!

Reminder:  Friday, Nov. 8th the Entire Middle School will be headed to a RALLY at the Pinnacle Arena.  We will depart from school at 8:35 and will be gone the entire day.

Make sure you have no appointments that day that would have you arriving late or leaving early for we won’t be here to accommodate that schedule.  Rally is scheduled from 9:30 - 10:45; the ball game starts at noon and should be over @ 2:00.  A piece of pizza and pop

will be provided for lunch.  Concession stands will be open during the game to purchase snacks.  (Bus Rules apply - No food or drink)  If you are feeling ill in the morning or have

appointments during the day remind your parents of Friday’s event and time schedule.

All calls of absence should be made prior to 8:15 a.m.

Our MS Boys Basketball Teams take on Platteview today.  7th grade will be here at HOME with a tip off at 4:15.  The 8th grade will be traveling and need to be dismissed at 2:20 with departure at 2:30 p.m.  GOOD LUCK TITANS!!!

The colorguard clinic will be here soon!  If you are interested in learning how to spin a Flag or Rifle, then the Colorguard Clinic in December is for you.  See Mrs. Andre in the library for a flyer, or check in the office.  Registrations are due November 15th.

Norris High School Cheerleaders Cheer Clinic will be January, 24th.  Pick up your registration form in the MS Office brochure holder.  Due date:  Friday, December 13th, 2013.  

REMINDER:  If you have a negative lunch balance / or are on Free/Reduce Lunch Program you may get either Grab’n Go or Breakfast , not both.

During the Book Fair next week students are asked to bring in Dollar Bills to help support Norris Middle School’s all for books challenge.  Every dollar raised will not only help the Norris community buy new titles, but will help underprivileged schools across the nation.

Our goal?  $500!!  If we reach that goal our very own Mr. Rice plans to do something extraordinary to help us celebrate.  In addition to the surprise from Mr. Rice, the LITT group with highest percentage of money earned will win a Pizza Party.  Remember the book fair starts Monday morning at 8:00 a.m.

Norris Wrestling Clothing Forms are available in the MS Office.  

The 5th & 6th Grade Talent Show has been set for Monday, November 25th at 7:00 p.m.  Tryouts will be Monday, November 11th and Tuesday, November 12th after school.  There will be a signup sheet outside Mr. Price’s door (MS 401) in the 8th grade hallway) during the week of November 4th.  A good variety of acts is needed.

THE FALL / WINTER LINCOLN KIDS NEWSPAPER,FULL OF FUN ACTIVITIES / ARTWORK / AND GREAT ARTICLES IS AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE.
