NORRIS MIDDLE SCHOOL BULLETIN - May 9th, 2014

OKLAHOMA, Jr. to be held on Saturday, May 10th at 5:00 and 7:00 in the H.S. Auditorium. Tickets for each show are $5 and are available for purchase one hour before each show. We do clear the house between each show to make room for new spectators. There will be a dessert social at the musical. Buy a piece of pie or cake or have a brownie or two along with a drink. The money raised will help the kids going to the National History Bee.
FFA 8th Grade Cookout - May 15th during 8th lunch period. Some of the FFA officers will walk over and get them so they should meet in the commons area. There will be a sign up in the MS Office. Anyone who has any interest in FFA should attend.
Anyone interested in running Cross Country next fall will have a meeting next week. Current 8th graders will have their meeting Tuesday, May 13th at 8 am.m in Mr. Allen’s room (W-11) in the HS. Current 6th & 7th graders will have their meeting Wednesday the 14th at 8 am.m. in Mr. Severson’s room.
STATE BASEBALL T-SHIRTS: Order forms are available in the office brochure holder. This is premature but order now with confidence, if we don’t make it you will get refunded. Orders are due next Monday, May 12th. Turn orders into the office.
Attention 8th Grade Football Players: (i.e. Incoming Freshmen)
There will be a lunch meeting with Coach Jacobsen next Tuesday (13th) in Mr. Murtaugh’s room (404). If you plan on participating in football next year, please go to the front of the lunch line, get your lunch, and bring it to the meeting.
Boys in grades 5, 6 and 7 interested in participating in basketball camp need to pick up a form in the office. All forms are due by next Friday, May 16th and Basketball Camp is May 27-30 from 10 - 12:30 a.m.
Ladies, Reminder - Elementary, Intermediate and Middle School Soccer Camp is coming up the 19th, 20th, and 21st of May from 3:45 - 5:30. Please get registered and have it returned by Friday, May 9th. If there are any questions, contact Coach Rice or Coach Dornbos. Return your registrations to your building office.
Norris Girls Basketball Clinic for Grades 5, 6, 7 will be May 14, 15, 16 from 3:45 - 5:45. You can pick up registration from Coach Hagerman or the MS Office Brochure Holder.
Reminder to all students: We will be removing your network accounts over the summer, and adding you back to the network. You will be keeping your same network ID and password, but any files you have on the Z drive will be lost, so we recommend that you make a backup to a flash drive, or into your Google Apps account prior to the start of the summer. All student Google Accounts will remain in place each year. You will have access to all Google Apps content 24 x 7 as long as you remain a Norris Student. Remember, all content is accessible by school personnel when deemed necessary. Make sure you practice proper digital citizenship and use this account for school purposes only.
All Library checkouts will be limited to TWO books. May 5-9 Checkouts will be limited to ONE book at a time. The last day to checkout books will be Friday, May 9. All books are due Monday, May 12th.

MS Softball Camp May 27, 28 & 29 at the Norris Softball Field; Grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 current year. 4-5:30 Pick up your registration form in the MS office. Registration is due back with payment by May 20th.

Would you like to work in the Lincoln City Libraries this summer? Volunteer registration for the summer reading program is available in the Norris MS library now. Sign up begins April 15th.
