MS 5-6 Bulletin

Do you know where all your library books are: Starting May 6th, student checkouts will be limited to one book per student. The last day to checkout a book is May 10th, and all materials are due MAY 13th.

HAL Rocketry Class the weather looks favorable so we will plan the launch this Tuesday, May 7th 3:30 – 4:30. Rocketry students need to let parents know we will finish earlier that day than past classes. If the weather forecast changes, we will plan on launching next Tuesday, 14th instead.

Girls in grades 5, 6 & 7 that signed up for the basketball camp this Wed., Thursday, and Friday meet in the middle school gym after school each day. If you have any questions see Mr. Hagerman

State Trap Team Results for Jr. High: Dylan Osterhaus placed 7th out of 888 in the individual awards: The Norris Jr. Squad #1 with cole Anderson, Adam Oldemeyer, Dylan Osterhaus, Connor Johnson, and Rees Armknecht placed 4th out of 84 teams.

Two teams of students represented Norris well at the Brownell-Talb9ot (Omaha) Math Contest on Thursday, May 2nd. The team of Chris Wieskamp, Hayden Moss, Tyler Pester, and Ben Hohensee placed 6th and the team of Hold Adams, Lexi Robertson, Lauren Robertson, Regan Monhollon, and Ashlyn Engelhard placed 8th out of a total of 15 teams. Chris Wieskamp placed in a tie for 3rd in the 7th grade individual competition.

There will be on more meeting for those students who signed up for Summer Driver Ed. On Thursday, May 16th, at 8:00 a.m. In the High School Multi-Purpose room. We will hand out textbooks, manuals and a syllabus of the class, so please make arrangements to make this short, but important meeting, and please be on time.

Science Rocks HAL Class final class will be next Thursday, May 9th.

6th & 7th Grade Volleyball Players: If you plan to attend the Volleyball Camp May 13, 14, and 15th and haven't handed in your forms, please get them to Coach Burbach, Coach Emeigh, or the office by the end of the week.

Lady Titan's interested in Spring Soccer Camp pick up a form in the MS Office Brochure Holder. Going into 6-8 Blue form with camp dates of May 16, 17 & 18th. If going into 9th grade form is white and camp dates are May 28th – May 31st.

MS Band Concert Tonight, May 6th at 7:00 in the HS Auditorium.

8th Grade Boys interested in playing Football next fall plan to meet with Coach Jacobsen on May 15th during LITT. If you are wanting more information check out his website and scroll down to Football.

Boys entering grades 6th, 7th, & 8th grade there is a Norris Titans Baseball Camp offered May 22nd thru May 24th. Check It Out – registration forms are available in the MS Office Brochure Holder.

CAN YOU READ THIS?? If not you are probably missing your glasses. Two pairs now have been found in the gym bleachers and are now in the office so stop by and check it out if there are yours.

8th Grade Football players entering into 9th grade there will be Football Camp in July. July 8 – 11th, 9:30 – 12:00 at the Norris High School Football Practice Field. Cost is $40 – register by June 24th. Pick up a registration form in the MS Office Brochure Holder.

Lady Titan Softball Camp is scheduled for May 28, 29, 30th at the Norris Park Softball Field for Grades 5, 6, 7 and 8th (Current School Year) 4 – 5:30 pm. Pick up a registration form in the MS Office Brochure Holder

Norris Volleyball Camp May 13, 14, & 15 3:30 – 5:45 pm. For Kindergarten – 7th Graders.

REMINDER: NO food is to leave the lunch room area at noon. Food and wrappers are being trashed outside our MS Building. Please do your part in keeping our building and grounds something we can all be proud of.

Calling all 3-7 Football players, there will be a Youth Fundamental Skills Football Camp in May. Pick up a flier in the MS Office if interested.

Season is going to changing. Reminder then to follow dress code – refer to your planner if you have questions. Biggest issue is long enough shorts and skirts and straps on shirts must be at least 2” wide with no bra straps showing. Slippers are not to be worn as shoes. Please be respectful to yourself.

The human tongue can do so much damage. We must be ever mindful and not speak critically and beware of our actions. A lot of what we say is probably best left unsaid. If you have been bullied or witnessed another student being bullied, immediately report this to a staff member, Mrs. Rupert or Mrs.

Lunch Bags/Boxes left o the floor in the commons area will be tossed at the end of the day. They are drawing ants when left on the floor. If you don't want your bag/box thrown away, put it on the table and/or pick it up from the commons after the lunch. These are to go back in your locker anyway.
