MS 4-23 Bulletin

HAL Class – Rocketry Class Tuesday, April 23rd.

Girls Basketball Information:

6th & 7th Grade Volleyball Players: If you plan to attend the Volleyball Camp May 13, 14, and 15th and haven't handed in your forms, please get them to Coach Burbach, Coach Emeigh, or the office by the end of the week.

Due to some conflicts, we have room for a few more students for the field trip to the strategic air and space museum in ashland and the nebraska state museum of history in lincoln this saturday (8:45 – 5:00). See Mrs. Burbach today if you are interested.

This Friday, the 5th/6th grade party will be from 3:30 – 5:30. Students are to go to the Student Section of Bleachers, in the gym for information right at 3:30. Some of the activities include Dodge Ball Tourney (students need to submit their team to Mr. Bade by 3:30 on thursday. Max of 8 students per team. Tourney will start at 3:40 and go till we have the finals), Basketball 3 on 3, Volleyball, Just Dance 4 (Will), Open Computer Labs, Outside Activities. We will also have face painting and or/nails coloring, with a small cost, and all proceeds of this will go to a fund to help playgrounds in Haiti. There will be pizza, pop, candy, along with cotton candy for sale. Please have your ride for pick up here by 5:30. You should leave your backpacks in your locker.

Girls in Grades K-7 PLEASE turn in your Spring Clinic Registration by this Friday. If you need a form see Mr. Hagerman or Pick one up in the Office.

8th Grade Girls PLEASE turn in your Summer Basketball information to Coach Hagerman by Friday.

Summer Driver Ed. Students are reminded that your conflict sheets are due in the office by Thursday, April 25th at the latest! If you misplaced your sheet, please stop by the office to pick up another form.

The Norris Team of Colson Hestermann, Dillon Dunn, cassie Barber, McKael Gollin and Tristan Bade placed third at the Brownell-Talbot Math Contest on Thursday, April 18th in Omaha. Colson picked up a medal for fourth place and Dillon Dunn was right behind in sixth place. All of the other schools were from the Omaha area.

MS Band Concert, May 6th at 7:00 in the HS Auditorium. With the concert right at our heals there is a revised schedule:

Tuesday –Clarinets & Horns / Wednesday –Saxes & Trumpets / Thursday –Full Band / Friday -Percussion

Boys entering grades 6th, 7th, & 8th grade there is a Norris Titans Baseball Camp offered May 22nd thru May 24th. Check It Out – registration forms are available in the MS Office Brochure Holder.

Are you missing a pair of glasses? Two pairs now have been found in the gym bleachers.

Come join the award winning Norris Colorguard! We will have a three day clinic to teach you everything you need to know, and then a tryout. Bring your friends! Clinic: April 15-17 before and after school, South HS Gym 7:30 am to 8:15; 3:45 - 4:30. Audition: Thursday April 18th am and pm tryouts South HS Gym 7:30 am to 8:15, 3:45 – 4:30.

8th Grade Football players entering into 9th grade there will be Football Camp in July. July 8 – 11th, 9:30 – 12:00 at the Norris High School Football Practice Field. Cost is $40 – register by June 24th. Pick up a registration form in the MS Office Brochure Holder.

Lady Titan Softball Camp is scheduled for May 28, 29, 30th at the Norris Park Softball Field for Grades 5, 6, 7 and 8th (Current School Year) 4 – 5:30 pm. Pick up a registration form in the MS Office Brochure Holder

Norris Volleyball Camp May 13, 14, & 15 3:30 – 5:45 pm. For Kindergarten – 7th Graders. Pick up a registration form in the MS Office Brochure Holder, registration is due back by Thursday, April 18, 2013. 5th graders will get theirs in their Thursday Folders.

REMINDER: NO food is to leave the lunch room area at noon. Food and wrappers are being trashed outside our MS Building. Please do your part in keeping our building and grounds something we can all be proud of.

Sign Up on Mr. Kendall's Door (Room 105) if you are interested in Ball Running for the Norris Girls and Boys Soccer Teams. It is an easy way to earn $5 dollars per game (or $10 dollars for the whole night) along with free food from the concession stand! There are only a few weeks left in the season! Space is limited to 3 per game … so sign up now!

Calling all 3-7 Football players, there will be a Youth Fundamental Skills Football Camp in May. Pick up a flier in the MS Office if interested.

Not sure when but the season is going to change – I promise. Reminder then to follow dress code – refer to your planner if you have questions. Biggest issue is long enough shorts and skirts and straps on shirts must be at least 2” wide with no bra straps showing. Slippers are not to be worn as shoes. Please be respectful to yourself.

The human tongue can do so much damage. We must be ever mindful and not speak critically and beware of our actions. A lot of what we say is probably best left unsaid. If you have been bullied or witnessed another student being bullied, immediately report this to a staff member, Mrs. Rupert or Mrs.
