Did you complete a yellow punch card this quarter? Way to go!! If you did, you are invited to a free movie night on Friday, October 26th at 3:45. We will be screening THE HUNGER GAMES in the Middle School Library. The movie should end around 6:00, so be sure to have a ride ready to pick you up. TEEN READ WEEK is on it's way!! The theme this year is “IT CAME FROM THE LIBRARY!!” The library is sponsoring a contest for the best bookmark idea that uses that theme. It can be as creepy as you want. The winning bookmarks will be copied and used in the library and the winning artists will receive a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. We will have one winner from each grade.

Last Friday's victory at Seward wrapped up an impressive regular season for the Norris Titans Football Team and locked us in as the #10 seed for the state football playoffs. Norris travels to McCook to play a 6 p.m. Game this Friday and take on the Bison. The District will not enact an early release or cancellation day on Friday, October 26th. So, Friday is a regular scheduled day. Parents who wish for their children to attend as fans/spectators simply need to contact their school's office and excuse the absence for their student.

Students and parents: The mobile website for our PowerSchool product is nice. But if you have an IOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod) device, the new apps are even better. They offer a wealth of information at your fingertips. For more information on accessing powerSchool and for downloading the student or parent app visit our Norris Home page, under resources and PowerSchool (http://www.norris160.org/resources/powerschool)

POCKET CALENDARS are available through the MS Office. Cost $5.00.

STAY STRONG …If you have been bullied or witnessed another student being bullied, immediately report this to a staff member, Mrs. Rupert or Mrs. Tracy. Thank you for helping to make Norris Middle School a safe and welcoming community.
