7th & 8th Grade Quiz Bowl will be meeting this Friday after school in Mr. Price's room. Please bring your own snack.
Congratulations to Coaches Emeigh and Farris along with the 7th grade A and B Volleyball teams and Coaches Burbach and Price along with the 8th grade A and B Volleyball teams and Coaches Harrington and Halvorsen along with the 7th grade Football team and Coaches Murtaugh and Dorn along with the 8th grade Football team all earning victories over Plattsmouth Tuesday night. This ends the fall MS season, thanks to all who assisted and participated in anyway.
8th Grade Boys Basketball … sign up outside computer lab door. Meeting Thursday, October 11 at 7:45 a.m. in Mr. Severson's room. First practice is Friday 6:30 a.m. In the High School North gym. To be eligible to practice you must have all necessary forms in and be completely checked in from bootball or cross country if you participated in either of those.
Middle School FCA is this Friday morning at 7:30 a.m.
PEP RALLY for NORRIS tonight at GATEWAY MALL starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Dillard's/Youngkers wing (61st & O Street). All Norris Students, parents, faculty and friends are invited to enjoy free pizza, games, cheer, dance and band performances and meet local KFRX morning show host Matt McKay. Gateway Mall will make a $1 donation to each school's booster club up to $500 per school for each person attending the pep rally on the school's behalf. This includes students, faculty, parents, or anyone who stops by to check out the fun.
So plan to come out to Gateway Mall to support our student athletes, enjoy some free pizza and help Norris gain bucks for our booster club! GO NORRIS!
The Fall Season is upon us, which means colder temps. Which means a change in wardrobe. Reminder to read page 11 in your planner. A few reminders: No holes in jeans, leggins or tight do not count under torn jeans as a
cover-up. All coats, jackets and hats are to be placed in the locker and not worn in school. Pajamas/leisure pants are not acceptable as school attire.
TEEN READ WEEK is on it's way!! The theme this year is “IT CAME FROM THE LIBRARY!!” The library is sponsoring a contest for the best bookmark idea that uses that theme. It can be as creepy as you want. The winning bookmarks will be copied and used in the library and the winning artisst will receive a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. We will have one winner from each grade.
REMINDER: Students planning to participate in Destination Imagination (DI) must turn in their commitment contracts to either Mrs. Schlake or Mrs. Wesch by Friday, October 12th … NO exception! If you have any questions before then about DI or finding a team please see Mrs. Wesch. If you need a commitment contract stop by the office to pick one up.
