Friday, Feb. 1st

Circle of Friends today at LITT.  Check in to your LITT room and come down to room 302!

SMILE!  It is time for Norris Trap Team & Individual Pictures

When: Friday, February 1st, 2019.  Time: 3:30 p.m. (Immediately after school)

Where: High School Auditorium

What to Wear: Each Team Member MUST wear a navy blue Norris Trap Team Shirt (T-shirt, Sweatshirt, etc.) It must have the team logo on the front of the shirt.

What to Do: Each team member needs to stay until they have taken an individual picture and a team picture. Junior High takes a team picture and High School takes a team picture. Please stay in the auditoruim while you are waiting for your turn for an individual picture and for your team picture.

How to Pay: Payment must be made in full on February 1st. Order forms envelopes were handed out at the team meeting in January. Please bring your order form with payment. Please write a check or include the exact cash amount for you payment, there will be no change available for large bills. Checks should be written to Callam Sports Photography.

There is no additional date for photos, so it is important for each team member to attend on February 1st.

HAL students - 2nd semester class registration is due today!! Email Mrs. Free mary.free@nsdtitans.org or Ms. Hutzler jennifer.hutzler@nsdtitans.org with class requests.

8th GRADE STUDENTS - Please check you email message from Mrs. Leininger about your Career Day!  Your ideas are needed, please email Mrs. Leininger with your suggestions for Career Day panelists.

6th and 7th GRADE GIRLS - Please check your email message from Mrs. Leininger about another BFF (Be a Friend First)  class. If you have not attended the previous classes, email Mrs. Leininger to let her know you would like to be in a class this semester.  If we have enough interest, the class will be offered. Don’t wait, let Mrs. Leininger know this week that you want to join the class!

INSTAGRAM meeting for those interested in helping to post on our account will be during LITT on Monday in Mr. Cullison’s room.

Friday, February 1 is World Read Aloud Day! AND:  National wear RED Day!

Show Choir auditions for next year are March 6.  You do not have to be in choir this year to audition for next year.  It is always fun to discover new talent!! See Mr Hansmeyer ASAP if you are interested, but not currently in choir.

Norris Middle School will participate in the Sock Drive again this February. This will be our 3rd Year participating in the event and we hope to raise the same amount (almost 2,000 pairs) if not more socks, again this year!

We will set the same goals for each grade level at 600, with a school goal of 1,800

2018 Totals

  1. 6th-Grade Rocked it by bringing in 803 pairs of socks.

  2. 7th-Grade brought in 688 pairs

  3. 8th-Grade brought in 448.

We exceeded the school goal of 1,800 pairs of socks but fell just short of 2,000 pairs.

Science Quiz Bowl Practice:   Friday, February 1st, have rides here by 5:00 p.m.
