TODAY’S ACTIVITIES:            

 

There will be a pep rally Friday during IAP.  Report to IAP first!

 

A reminder that school pictures will be taken tomorrow. 

 

Seniors - Sign up in the office for a time slot for your senior picture on Wednesday, September 18th (B day) and Thursday, September 19th (A day).

 

The first Blood Drive for this year is scheduled for tomorrow from 10:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. in the north high school gym. You must be 17 years old and weigh at least 115 pounds to donate. Sign up in the Guidance Office or on the shared Google document. Reminder to students: a signed parent permission form is required to donate.  Photo ID is required for all donors.  Thanks for being the TYPE that gives!

 

FCCLA meeting this Thursday after school in the middle school FCS room.  Anyone interested in joining, please come to the meeting!  Everyone is welcome!

 

There will be a Circle of Friends Meeting on Thursday, August 29th in the Media Center during IAP.

 

FFA dues need to be in by this Friday.  Dues are $5 – give to Dr. Harms.

 

COLLEGE REPS (sign-up on the senior bulletin board)

UNL will be here Monday, September 16th during IAP.  

Missouri Western State University will be here Tuesday, September 10th during IAP.

University of Sioux Falls will be here Tuesday, October 1st during IAP. 

 

GUIDANCE OFFICE INFO:

Please note we are past the 5 day schedule drop policy.  Thank you for honoring the policy for overall success of all students and staff planning. No schedule changes will be made at this point due to wanting to "drop a course." If you are struggling with a course, please use resources to seek help and support.  Norris staff and guidance office are here to support your academic successes! 

 

PSAT sign up coming soon...Test is $15.00, limited number of spots available.  Juniors may start registering 

Tuesday, August 27th, Sophomores may start registering Tuesday, September 3rd. 

Bring money to Mrs. Moser in CC.  Registration available until spots are full.  Test date is October 16th (8:30-11:30). 

 

For any student who qualified for an ACE scholarship last year, and is enrolled in a Fall dual credit class (*only ENG 1010, ENG 1020, Intro to Psych, Intro to Soc) you may log in and apply for the ACE scholarship.  It is first come, first serve!  You do not need to have your college registration papers in before you qualify.  See Mrs. Moser for assistance.  ACE website is linked on the Guidance webpage.
