If you would like the opportunity to express yourself through creative writing, then please consider joining the creative writing club! Our first meeting is Thursday, September 10th in Mrs.Coady's room, room S4. All types of writing are included, such as poetry, short stories, nonfiction, comics, etc. If you can't make it, that's alright! Email Mrs. Coady or Autumn Weaver if you are unable to attend and are interested!


National Honor Society Application Open Now 

What: Apply to National Honor Society 

Who: Juniors and Seniors with a 3.5 GPA or higher, information will be sent to you via email

When: Student Activity Forms due Thursday, September 24th, by 4:00 p.m. to Mrs. Thomas

Where: Forms can be found on the Norris160 website, on the Counseling Center website, and linked HERE

Questions: talk to Mrs. Thomas or a current NHS officer


PSAT (Preliminary SAT standardized test) sign up is here!  Test is $17.00, limited number of spots are available (first come, first served).  Registration is open to any interested Junior or Sophomore.  To register, bring your money to the Counseling Center.  You will be registered and also get an official copy of the 20-21 PSAT guide.  The test will take place at Norris on Wednesday, October 14th in the North gym from 8:30-11:45 a.m. All registrations due by Friday September 11th. 


BLOOD DRIVE!

When:Wednesday, September 9th, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Where: North high school gym.

Who:  anyone AT NORRIS 16 years old and older   

  • Seniors, qualify for a NCBB scholarship when you donate. 

  • Juniors, donating counts as Community Service. 

What: Be the TYPE that gives! #savetheday  

  • All Norris students must have aparent permission form on file (only need to do this once per school year).

  • Additionally, an NCBB parent permission formis required at each drive for 16 year old donors.

    • Forms available in the HS office, Counseling Center, and linked to this bulletin. Return to Mrs. Thomas


Freshman:  If you want to apply for a class officer position, please fill out the form that was emailed to you Friday.  Applications are due Friday, September 4.


Seniors:  If you want to apply for a class officer position, please fill out the form that was emailed to you yesterday.  Applications are due Friday, September 4.
