HS Bulletin




Science Club!   Please come join the fun and explore the opportunities available in a new science club. Our mission for the future is to encourage and engage the Norris community to explore science-related topics and fields in order to improve our future.

First meeting is Dec 3 after school in Dr L-M's room (E7).

Winter Semi-formal Dance:- will be held this upcoming Friday  Info you need to know:

Where:  South Gym of Norris High School

WEST doors open at 8 pm.  They will be the only doors open.

Doors close at 9 pm.

The dance goes until 11 pm.

There will be drinks and some food available for purchase. 


Tickets will be sold next week during the last 15 min of each lunch.  Feel free to stop by the Concession Stand across from the HS Office to purchase a $10 ticket.  You may purchase a ticket for a date if you wish. Tickets are the door are $15.  

Broadcast and Video Production - Are you interested in sports, using video equipment and computers? Can you imagine yourself working for ESPN or Husker Vision someday?  We are looking for students to help broadcast sporting events on Youtube and edit game highlights for social media. We need motivated students that can consistently commit time outside of school (athletic events) to be announcers, camera/replay operators, and video editors.  Please see or email Mr. Carlson more information (andrew.carlson@nsdtitans.org).


Juniors: Interested in business?  Consider attending UNL's DREAMBIG Academy (July 26-30, 2020).  Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, have an interest in Business, and meet one of the following criteria (first generation college student, underrepresented identity, meet federal guidelines for low-income status or qualify for free or reduced lunch).  Applications due March 15th. See email from Mrs. Moser for more specific information. 

ACE Scholarships:  please note that the spring ACE scholarships are now open for anyone who qualifies (free/reduced lunch at Norris, receiving federal SSI benefits, other extreme hardship) and is taking a spring dual credit course (ALL YEAR COURSE/CONSIDERED SPRING COURSE THROUGH SCC: AP Stats, Calculus, College Algebra, SECOND SEMESTER COURSES: Modern Lit, Adv Comp, Intro to Comp, Intro to LIt.  See Mrs. Moser for assistance in applying. Act now, as funds are first come first serve.
