TODAY’S ACTIVITIES:

Start of Winter Sports Practice



Winter Semi-formal Dance:- will be held this upcoming Friday  Info you need to know:

Where:  South Gym of Norris High School

WEST doors open at 8 pm.  They will be the only doors open.

Doors close at 9 pm.

The dance goes until 11 pm.

There will be drinks and some food available for purchase. 

 

Tickets will be sold next week during the last 15 min of each lunch.  Feel free to stop by the Concession Stand across from the HS Office to purchase a $10 ticket.  You may purchase a ticket for a date if you wish. Tickets are the door are $15.  


Juniors: Interested in business?  Consider attending UNL's DREAMBIG Academy (July 26-30, 2020).  Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, have an interest in Business, and meet one of the following criteria (first generation college student, underrepresented identity, meet federal guidelines for low-income status or qualify for free or reduced lunch).  Applications due March 15th. See email from Mrs. Moser for more specific information. 


ACE Scholarships:  please note that the spring ACE scholarships are now open for anyone who qualifies (free/reduced lunch at Norris, receiving federal SSI benefits, other extreme hardship) and is taking a spring dual credit course (ALL YEAR COURSE/CONSIDERED SPRING COURSE THROUGH SCC: AP Stats, Calculus, College Algebra, SECOND SEMESTER COURSES: Modern Lit, Adv Comp, Intro to Comp, Intro to LIt.  See Mrs. Moser for assistance in applying. Act now, as funds are first come first serve.

ASVAB test (military entrance exam) sign up is here.  Please email Mrs. Moser to register for the ASVAB test, administered here at Norris on Wednesday, November 20 from 9:00-12:00 p.m.  There is no charge for taking this test. Students will receive a test interpretation of their score report and potential career options at a later date.  In your email to Mrs. Moser, please list any military branches you're considering going in to (or none if you are taking the exam for standardized testing practice/career options).
