Norris Culinary students are headed to state competition.  Kelli Doeschot, Lauren Mertens and Tessa Johnson presented food products in seven categories and received the top awards in every entry to advance onto state competition on March 16.  Congratulations!

 

The ACT Math Prep class with Mr. Price is scheduled for tonight (March 4th) from 6:00 to 7:30 in room MS 401.  If you can't make this class, you can come this Thursday night (March 7th) for the same review.

There will be a representative from Wyo Tech here Tuesday morning from 8:30 -9:20 in W-18. If you want to listen to his presentation you need permission from you first period teacher.

 

AP Exam Registration is here for Juniors and Seniors!  See the email sent out from Mrs. Moser for registration

form, payment information, and dates of exams. Registrations DUE Tuesday, March 26th to Mrs. Moser.        

 

Trap team Members:  You must sign up for trap team meets by Wednesday, March 6th.  Sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board by Keith’s office.

Juniors and Seniors are invited to an information meeting, on Wednesday, March 6 @ 9:30 a.m. in M-13, that will provide details on how to apply for induction into the Norris Chapter of National Honor Society. Applicants must have a CGPA of 3.5, the list of qualified applicants is posted in the Career Center.   The completed application form will be due on Friday, March 22.  Please see Mrs. O'Connor if you are unable to attend the scheduled meeting.

 

2013 Nebraska Agricultural Youth Institute (NAYI) is a 5 day event (July 8-12) for Juniors and Seniors to build leadership skills & explore agriculture, hosted at UNL's East Campus. Registration Deadline is April 15th.  Apply online at www.agr.ne.gov/nayi (click Apply Now).

Health Career Camp 2013 -- Sponsored by Bryan College of Health Sciences

To participate students must:  Be 16 years old, interested in health careers and enjoy science, able to attend the entire week long camp (July 8-12 or July 22-26), Apply by May 1, Cost:  $350  Camp applications are available at www.bryanhealthcollege.edu or call 402.481.8697. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

Hickman Masonic Lodge #256 is sponsoring two $250 scholarships for students interested in attending the 19th Annual Masonic All-Star Marching Band Camp. The camp will bring together the best-of-the-best high school band students from high schools in Nebraska for five days of intense musical and marching practice. The band will march in the Shrine Bowl Parade in Kearney, perform the National Anthem and half-time performance for the Shrine Bowl Game at UNK on Saturday, June 1st. Complete and submit the Masonic All-Star Marching Band Application Form to Mrs. O'Connor by March 15.
