TODAY’S ACTIVITIES:             Girls State BB Tournament – Norris vs. Beatrice @ 7:00 p.m. –

Devaney Sports Center – Admission:  Adults-$7; Students-$5

                                                           

Trap team practice will only go until 5:00 p.m. tonight.

 

Trap team Members:  You must sign up for trap team meets by Wednesday, March 6th.  Sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board by Keith’s office.

 

Baseball t-shirt order forms are due next Monday, March 4.

 

Legion Baseball sign-up in the high school office.

 

Juniors and Seniors are invited to an information meeting, on Wednesday, March 6 @ 9:30 a.m. in M-13, that will provide details on how to apply for induction into the Norris Chapter of National Honor Society. Applicants must have a CGPA of 3.5, the list of qualified applicants is posted in the Career Center.   The completed application form will be due on Friday, March 22.  Please see Mrs. O'Connor if you are unable to attend the scheduled meeting.

 

Today is the last day to order a 2013 Yearbook is March 1st.  Cost $75; With name-$80

 

Volunteer Opportunity:

*Bright Lights* is looking for volunteers to help with their summer programs.  Visit the website at brightlights.org to sign-up and for additional details.

- Earn community service hours -- *sophomores, this will count toward the required Community Service hours

   for School to Career!

* Summer dates:  June 3-7  ** June 17-21 ** July 8-12*

 

Health Career Camp 2013 -- Sponsored by Bryan College of Health Sciences

To participate students must:

  • Be 16 years old
  • Be interested in health careers and enjoy science
  • Be able to attend the entire week long camp (July 8-12 or July 22-26)
  • Apply by May 1

Cost:  $350

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY:

Hickman Masonic Lodge #256 is sponsoring two $250 scholarships for students interested in attending the 19th Annual Masonic All-Star Marching Band Camp. The camp will bring together the best-of-the-best high school band students from high schools in Nebraska for five days of intense musical and marching practice. The band will march in the Shrine Bowl Parade in Kearney, perform the National Anthem and half-time performance for the Shrine Bowl Game at UNK on Saturday, June 1st. Complete and submit the Masonic All-Star Marching Band Application Form to Mrs. O'Connor by March 15.
