TODAY’S ACTIVITIES:

JV-V Softball vs. Plattsmouth – HOME – 5:00/6:30

F-JV-V VB vs. Nebraska City – HOME – 5:30

JV Football @ Bennington – 6:30 p.m.

 

FCA Fuel-up: Wednesday, September 5. Breakfast begins at 7:15 am in Mr. Talero's room. Meeting generally ends by 8:00 am. This is an organizational and welcome back fuel-up meeting for current and prospective new FCA members! Any Norris student or staff members are welcome to attend and check us out. Questions? SENIORS:    Senior Meeting today for Vogt & Henke’s IAP.  

 

If you are interested in joining SkillsUSA there is a sign-up sheet outside of Mr. Jenkins’ room W-18.

What is SkillsUSA??? A professional organization for students in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health occupations!  Find out more about it at an organizational meeting next Wednesday, September 5 during IAP in the Career Center.

 

Nebraska Community Blood Bank BLOOD DRIVE!  
Students (17 years old and weighing at least 115 lbs) ... are encouraged to “keep the beat alive” by donating blood on September 6 from 10:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. As a thank you, all those registering to donate at the first NHS blood drive will receive a “Keeping the Beat Alive” t-shirt. Each and every donation will not only help critically ill patients, but also raise scholarship dollars for NHS through the NCBB Educational Scholarship Program. The program has been awarding scholarship funds to high schools based on the success of their blood drive(s) since 2004. Last year, NHS hosted four successful blood drives and received over 2,000 dollars in scholarship funds.Reserve a spot to donate today! To schedule an appointment and pick up a Parent Permission Form, contact Mrs. O’Connor in the Guidance office. Anyone interested in participating in Mock Trial this year should sign the roster outside of Mr. Koenig's room.

 

The girls golf team place 1st out of 11 teams with a score of 373 (third highest in school history)  Ashlyn Hoegh set a new Titan individual 18 hole record by shooting a 77.  Others who placed were Katy Fosler (7th/92), Maddie Gabel (12th/101), Anna Doeschot (14th/103) and Jessica Lingenfelter (133).  All of the Norris girls shot their personal best career scores.  

 

GUIDANCE OFFICE INFO:

Sophomores and Juniors:  Look for the opportunity to sign up for taking the PSAT at Norris (October 17th).  See your IAP teacher for details.
