I grew up on a farm near Elmwood, Nebraska, with my 3
brothers. I graduated from Elmwood High School in
1965. I earned my BS in Ed from Peru State College
with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Physics.
I earned my Masters degree from UNL.
My first two years teaching was at Davenport, Nebraska
(1969-71). I taught math & science and was head
boys basketball coach. I also taught at Ravenna (1971-77): math,
science, head boys basketball & golf coach and assistant
football.
