"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."

John Wooden

I grew up on a farm near Elmwood, Nebraska, with my 3 brothers.  I graduated from Elmwood High School in 1965.  I earned my BS in Ed from Peru State College with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Physics.  I earned my Masters degree from UNL.

My first two years teaching was at Davenport, Nebraska (1969-71).  I taught math & science and was head boys basketball coach. I also taught at Ravenna (1971-77): math, science, head boys basketball & golf coach and assistant football.

I signed contracts at my alma mater, Elmwood, from 1977 to 1983 as a math teacher.  Duties also included head girls basketball, golf and assistant football.

I became a member of the Norris staff in 1983 (math teacher, assistant football coach and assistant basketball coach).

The lovely lady in the pictures is my wife, Roxanne.  I have 3 daughters: Stacy, Stephanie and Susan.
