Third
Graders are required to read Accelerated Reader (AR) books and earn
three points each quarter. Points are earned by taking a multiple
choice comprehension test on the computer. A score of 100% on the
test earns full credit and any score above 60% earns partial credit.
Books that teachers read aloud to the class will not count as part of
the goal. AR books in the Norris Library are marked with a small
red book on the spine. The level of the book and how many points
the book is worth is located inside the front cover. |
