English 10 Pre-Advanced Placement

A more advanced Sophomore English class offered to allow students who are college bound and interested in taking either AP Language or AP Literature their junior year.  Students considering this class should understand it is a faster paced class that delves into further development and implied thematic meaning in literature. 

This class does cover some of the same curriculum units as English 10, but it is faster paced.

Vocabulary Terms-Students have 150 vocabulary terms to learn over the course of the year.  The first semester students are responsible for 75 vocabulary terms they will be quizzed over every other Friday.  There is a vocabulary final at the end of each semester

ACT/SAT Vocabulary Practice Site-
