Unit #5 - Middle East

Unit Objectives:

  1. Students will list and locate the various countries of the Middle East, and compared the physical geography of this region. This includes: landforms, water forms, and climates. (12.2.7)

  2. Student will examine the history and cultural differences of people in the Middle East, including the influence of Islam, and compose a list of problems in the region, and their origin. (12.1.6, 12.2.11)

  3. Students will analyze the various conflicts in the Middle East region, their causes, and potential effects (12.2.14)

  4. Students will compare and contrast the three religions of the Middle East.
