THE NEBRASKA STATE LEADERSHIP AND SKILLS CONFERENCE 2006

March 24 - March 26

Twenty-nine students from the Norris SkillsUSA chapter attended the state conference in Columbus from March 24 to March 26, 2006.  They participated in contests ranging from welding to teaching and everything in between.  The contests were held at the Central Community College campus in Columbus.  Many of the participants from Norris came home with medals and 13 students qualified for nationals in five events.  The 42nd National Leadership and Skills Conference will be held June 20-24 in Kansas City, Missouri. 

 

 

 

 

 


 

 

                                  

 

 

Students who qualified for nationals were Spencer Hall, Evan Egger, Shane Lowe, Morgan Huttes, and Alex Baruth in Quiz Bowl, Sarah Jenkins in Cosmetology, Aleece Schoenbeck in Commercial Baking, Evan Egger in Technical Computer Applications, and Sarah Jenkins, Aleece Schoenbeck, Ashly Lannin, and Kendra Brunkow in Outstanding Chapter Scrapbook.

The names of other medalists can be found in the Norris SkillsUSA Hall of Fame.
