Golden Sower Nominees The Golden Sower Award is the Nebraska children's choice literary award. The GSA program was started in 1981 by Karla Wendelin (a former Norris elementary media specialist!) and Dee Storey. Each year nominees in three different categories are chosen (Primary, Intermediate, and Young Adult), and read by students across Nebraska. The students can then vote on their favorite in the spring and the Golden Sower winners are named. In 7th grade, we focus on the young adult category. The more you practice, the better you get. - Kobe Bryant If you cheat in practice, you'll cheat in a game, and if you cheat in a game, you'll cheat in life, and I won't have it. - Vince Lombardi Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. - Groucho Marx You don't stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing. - George Bernard Shaw/Ben Franklin |
