Norris Elementary, Second Grade

Second grade students read a variety of literature throughout the school year. 

Fiction, non-fiction, biographies, and poetry provide the students with new information and ideas. 

Houghton Mifflin is the reading series used for grades kindergarten through fourth grades at the elementary building.

Several authors are studied through out the year including; Jan Brett, Arnold Lobel, Marc Brown and Steven Kellogg.

Houghton Miflin has an internet web site at eduplace.com.  Students can visit to practice many reading skills including vocabulary and spelling.
