Improv is a way of presenting social situations to audiences through acting out short scenes. The scene ends in a dilemma, leaving it up to the audience to figure out how the problem will be solved. The audience is given the chance to talk with, and ask the characters questions. This way, audience members not only see the dangers of some situations, they can find ways to work through them.
