Educational Background: I graduated from Crete High School in 1995.  In the fall of 1995, I began attending the University of

Nebraska-Lincoln and received a bachelors of science degree in the area of 7-12 Mild/Moderate Special Education in May of 1999.  Later that fall I began my teaching career at Southeast High School in Lincoln.  In the fall of 2000, I began teaching at Norris.  I am a High School Special Education Teacher currently co-teaching English Classes and Civics.  I received my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College in 2004.

Home Town:
I grew up on a farm near Hallam, Nebraska.  After living in Lincoln for a few years, I missed farm living and built a house in the country  near my parents.  I love being able to live so close to my family.

Favorite thing about teaching: Interactions with teachers and students

Personal Background:
I have a wonderful husband named Mark Henke.  We were married in July of 2003.  Mark is a farmer and diesel mechanic near Clatonia, Nebraska.  We have a son named Case.  He was born in January of 2007.

Hobbies/Interest Areas: I enjoy hanging out at the lake, reading and spending time with family and friends!
