Logic Puzzles

These puzzles are designed to make students think.  The students must use "yes/no" questions to solve the problem.

1.  John and Mary are lying dead on the floor.  There is a puddle of water around them and some broken glass.  The window is open.  What happened?

2.  A man was found dead in a phone booth.  The receiver is hanging down.  There is a fishing pole.  What happened?

3.  The girl was afraid to come home because of the man with the mask.   Why?

4.  The world's smallest midget was found dead in his trailer home at the circus.   Around him lie a pile of chips.   The
        world's second smallest midget was seen going in and out of the trailer home every so often, but was not seen    
        there the night of the murder.  What happened?
