The Greater Southeast Nebraska Math Challenge took place on Friday, February 26th, 2010 at Peru State College.

Individual Test Results (large school division with Beatrice, Nebraska City, Falls City, Syracuse):

Individual test:

Seniors:  Josh Nelson picked up a silver medal in the Calculus test
Juniors:  Hannah Monson picked up silver in PreCal
Sophomores:  Austin Walker picked up gold in Alg 2 / Trig
Freshmen:  Luke Monhollon – bronze,  Ethan Cox – silver in Geometry

Team Test:    Sophomores 1st place

Quiz Bowl Results:

Seniors:  1st place (led by Annelise Madison)
Sophomores:  1st Place (led by Austin Walker)

Overall:  2nd place for the TEAM Title, behind Syracuse (13 schools total).  Syracuse had an average of 76.5 points to Norris' 75.5 points.

Matthew Gutzmer, 9th grade, took home first place in the Geometry contest.  Cody Bodfield, 11th grade, brought home the gold for the Algebra 2 contest, and Annelise Madison, 10th grade, was right behind Cody for 2nd place.  The team of Cody Bodfield, Annelise Madison, and Caitlyn Osborn took home the 1st place plaque for the Algebra 2 contest in our division (Beatrice, Falls City, and Syracuse).  The team of Caleb Boender, Danny Hohbein, and Ashleigh Casement placed 2nd (only one point behind the winner) in the PreCalculus contest.  Also making the trip were Cole Marolf, Curtis Richards, Craig Price, Elizabeth Boender, and Kody Pritschau.

Each student took an individual test, completed a team test, and then participated in the Quiz Bowl contest.
