Omaha North High School Math Contest
Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

Keep in mind, we were the only class B school at this contest and that several of our top math contest students
were not able to make it due to scheduling conflicts with cross country, football, volleyball, or the musical.  Thus we took
three seniors, three freshmen, and one eighth grader.  Congratulations for the team members for taking this challenge!
(sorry, my pictures didn't turn out).

2007

For the first time, Norris High School brought a team of students to the Omaha North High School math competition.  There were 12 schools represented, including Lincoln East, Lincoln Pius, Omaha North, Omaha Central, Omaha Burke, and even some Des Moines schools.  The contest had four parts:  a written Target round, a written multiple choice round, a team mental-computation exercise, and a team test.  All the Norris students agreed that it was a very tough competition!

Our top finisher was junior Cody Bodfield in 87th place  (out of 132 students), eighth grader Austin Walker (97th place), and junior Caleb Boender (109th).  Also competing were Elizabeth Boender (9th grade), Wil Cox (9th), and Danny Hohbein (11th).
