Happy Camper Days
'Happy Camper Days' is the term given to the special days in the 7th grade where all 7th graders are involved in a special project. Whale Day - every fall we make a full scale model of the great blue whale (100 feet long!). We've been doing this since 1990! Ice Cream Lab - everyone works together to make home made ice cream by rolling cans! Puffmobile - groups of students use wooden beads, pins, straws, and a single piece of paper to create their own "puffmobile". Collections - a new project to show what kinds of objects students collect Other projects in the past have included: Planets Day - groups make models of the planets, including the sun! Quilt Show - students bring quilts from home and talk about them. "Stand and Deliver" movie about Jaime Escalante and his California students
