Objective:

In this lesson, students will use the world wide web to access rules to play flag football. The students will apply the rules to the games later on in the unit.

Materials:

Computer with internet access.

Procedure:

STEP 1: Students will click here to get to the web site.

STEP 2: Students will fill out the following questions from the information from the web site.

1. How many players are on a team?

2. Tell me the rule about punting.

3. What are the ways a team can score points?

4. List all of the rules that pertain to safety. Ex: tackling, diving...

5. List the basic rules to play flag football. Ex: number of downs, number of yards to a first down.
