Web Publishing with
PowerPoint!

Did you know that you could easily take your PowerPoint Presentation and take it to a web site with a few simple clicks of the mouse?
To create a web site of your PowerPoint:
1) Go to File and select “Save as a web Page”
2) Next, select the publish icon. You will then be presented with the dialog box shown below. In this sample, I am saving the website to a folder called “tempjunk” found in my Z: drive. After publishing the PowerPoint, you would see a file called test.htm and a file folder called Test_files. (If I published the PowerPoint and called it weather, you would see a file called weather.htm and a file folder called Weather_files.

3) After publishing the PowerPoint, you can take the file and file folder and place it on your web site. You would then need to link to the published file (called test.htm in this example) for individuals to be able to view your PowerPoint.
Some items to keep in mind:
1) The file folder created when publishing the PowerPoint must always be located in the same place as the file that was created.
2) When you publish a PowerPoint, you can choose to have it available for various browsers to view.
3) If you scan or snap pictures for the web, always keep them in a low resolution!
