Film Education Assignments

These are the planned assignments for this course. 99% of these will be done in class. Most of them can be done together as a class or in small groups. You will receive a grade for each one. Many of them are either complete or incomplete. In addition to these assignments, you will earn a daily grade for participation. Each class period is worth 5 points. Failure to bring a paper and pencil to each class will result in a loss of points. If you have an unexcused tardy, you will loose daily points.

20 points	Cinematography (angles, lighting, framing in computer lab)
50 points	Storyboards (may be taken home)
50 points	Editing our own slide show (computer lab)
20 points	Foley Artists make our own sound fx
10 points	Whalerider analysis and discussion
5 points	Film Ed Evaluation

40 extra credit points possible:

Be on time to every class with paper and pencil everyday.
Do an exceptionally good job on the Silent Film, Movie Poster, or Storyboard
Treat each film we watch with respect and use discussion time critically.
