7th Grade Band - Ms. Wilhelm, Mr. Lee, Mrs.
Andre
The 7th Grade Band meets three times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri). The
students are graded based on a portfolio evaluation in which playing
exercises, written evaluations of individual and group performances, and
classroom activities are included to represent the student's musical
growth. Course study will include major scale studies, rhythmic reading,
sight reading skills, various styles of music, and music appreciation.
The 7th grade band will perform two concerts during the year as well as
participate in one music contest |

Mrs. Andre pulls students out of the large group for many different
lessons. Some students are learning a new instrument and are taking
private lessons. Other students are working on developing skills
to keep up with the group. Several students are working above and
beyond and preparing solos and ensembles for contest and talent show. |
