The Music Boosters have undertaken several fund-raising projects this year to support various music activities and scholarships. We are one of only two parent organizations in the district that provides scholarships to graduating seniors. One  of our yearly projects is the Bake Sale during Parent-Teacher conferences in October. Parents are encouraged to provide two items for the Bake Sale or make a cash contribution of $5. Another annual project is pocket-sized calendar sales. We sell the calendars at all home athletic events through October.

Each year the Music Boosters provide the opportunity to show our pride in our band and chorus students by selling picture buttons. Each 3-inch button includes the student's picture surrounded by the words "Norris Titans", at a cost of $2.50 each. Pictures for band members are taken during the first home football game and choir members during the first week of school.

The Music Boosters are again providing support for students selected to participate in area honor bands/choirs. Any registration fees incurred by a High School music student who auditions for and is accepted to any area honor band or honor choir will be paid by the Music Boosters (unless already paid by the school). We encourage all eligible music students to audition for any or all honor bands and honor choirs.

Please refer to your activities calendar for the music events throughout the year. The boosters provide assistance when Norris High School hosts the District Music Contest by working concessions and serving as room monitors. The Music Boosters support the music program not only monetarily, but also by being advocates of music education in the public schools. With your help we can become a model for the rest of the state in supporting music education. We encourage your support throughout the coming year and hope to see you at our next meeting!
