November 26, 2001

        President Gayle French called the meeting to order with 8 members and Evan Lee present.  The minutes were approved as read.  The treasurer's report was $559.89 in the checking account and no activity in the savings account, leaving an ending balance of $3343.48.  The treasurer's report was approved.

OLD BUSINESS:  The calendar sales have resulted in a profit of $381.  We only have a dozen left and we're still expecting a $50 donation from one of the sponsoring businesses.

        The picture buttons brought in $180.

        The bake sale total earnings was $718, which included the teacher's lunches.  WE discussed ways to get more teachers to participate.

        Thirteen people are participating in the pie sales.

        Gayle reviewed the year's accomplishments to date.  We paid for NSBA pizza party ($325), did ad for NSBA ($35), bought NSBA medals ($300), paid for the Show Choir festival meal ($90), purchased Show Choir breakfast at State School Board convention ($100), paid Doane College Honor band fees ($50), and paid All State registration fees for 7 choir members, 2 band members, and 1 orchestra member ($150).

NEW BUSINESS:  Except concerts there is no activity for the group until later so we won't meet again until February.  The concerts will be December 17th for High School and December 18th for the Middle School.

        The Spring Recital is in April.

        District Music Contest may be at Concordia in Seward.

        Evan Lee congratulated all the All-State participants.  Jazz band has started.  The honor band auditions are coming up for Wesleyan.  Evan explained the chair placement process.  It is based on tapes and sight-reading and a challenge system.

The meeting was adjourned.  The next meeting will be February 25th at 7:00pm.
