Pre Calculus:  Graphical, Numerical, Algebraic, Sixth Edition, Demana, Waits, Foley, Kennedy, Pearson Publishing 2004

Course Description:

Pre-Calculus is a course of advanced mathematics topics. These topics include functions (higher degree polynomials, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric), vectors, translations, polar coordinate systems, parametric equations, matrices, complex numbers, sequences, series, limits, probability, and statistics.  The course is intended to prepare students planning on going to college for calculus and other advanced mathematics classes.

Prerequisites:  Algebra I, Geometry, and either Algebra 2 or Advanced Algebra 2/Trig or Algebra 3/Trig

Materials:

Students will need to bring a notebook for working problems in class and completing homework assignments; a folder or binder; pencils; and a graphing calculator.
