Class Expectations for Mr. Oltman’s class

Bring your supplies to class daily.
(Covered Book, paper, pencils, calculator, etc…)

Do your homework daily.
(Book work, worksheet, reading, taking notes, studying for a quiz, etc…)
.
Be in your assigned seat.

Raise your hand to ask for permission to do something.
(Answer a question, ask a question, to get up and throw away paper of sharpen a pencil, etc…)

Treat others with respect.
(keep your hand to yourself, leave other’s property alone, talk appropriately to your classmates and teacher, etc…)

Follow the rules of the handbook.
 

Grading

Quarter Grades will be based on total points.

Semester grade  is based on the average of the two quarter grades.

If the class has a semester test, then the semester grade will be based on 45% 1st quarter, 45% second quarter and 10% semester test.

Points are given on tests, quizzes, Graded worksheets and homework. 

At least once a chapter, points will be given for homework effort.  As long as the student does their daily homework, the student will get all possible points for the homework effort grade.
