Norris Elementary, Kindergarten

     We are on a Day 6 rotation schedule.  That means the first day of school will be Day 1, the next day will be Day 2, etc.  After Day 6, we revert back to Day 1 and begin again.  Our specials will be on this rotation schedule.  For example, we will have Library on Day 1.  This will NOT always be the same day each week!  Weekly schedules will be sent home on Mondays.  Check these schedules carefully so you know what day it is and what special(s) we are having!! 

8:30 - 9:00       Calendar Binders

9:00 - 9:15       Reading Story

9:15 - 9:35       Recess/Restroom

9:40 - 10:00     Direct Reading Instruction

10:00 - 11:00  Reading Activities Which Include:

                           Phonics/Phonemic Awareness Activities

                           Small Groups

                           Center Time

11:05 - 11:50   Lunch/Recess

11:45 - 12:30  Science/Social Studies Activities

12:35 - 1:15    Specials

                          Day 1- Art

                          Day 2 - World Language

                          Day 3 - P.E.

                          Day 4 - Music

                          Day 5 - World Language / Music

                          Day 6 - Library/PE

1:15 - 1:30      Read-A-Loud

1:30 - 2:15      Math

2:15 - 2:30      Snack Time

2:30 - 3:00      Writing/Problem Solving

3:00 - 3:20       Recess

3:25                  Dismissal
